Writings

Following are three collections of writings from those associated with the Treetop Zen Center.

Sangha Writings

Treetop is blessed with a wonderful group of creative Zen students. All do a lot of writing as part of their practice. Both in prose and in poetry. Often the writing is remarkable. Writing is done in response to study of the sutras, or of the precepts, or of various texts, or koans. With the student's permission some of this work will appear in this section. Sometimes with and sometimes without attribution, according to the wishes of the respective student. Most zen centers have some form of ceremony, riitual, or requirements in order to study with a teacher. Some even draw up a contract between student and teacher clearly outlining expectations on both sides. Here at Treetop we ask students, when we feel it appropriate in their practice, to consider their relationship or commitment to the Three Treasures: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. Among the writings is one of the responses.
